Campitello Matese is located in the heart of the Molise Apennines and, in particular, on the slopes of the "Monte Miletto"(2050 m a.s.l.).
The plateau is located within the Matese Massif, and behind it stands "Monte Miletto", the highest peak of the massif, and other important mountains are "Monte Croce" and "La Gallinola". Surrounded by unspoiled landscapes, it is one of the most important tourist resorts in Molise and is known as one of the snowiest ski resorts in central and southern Italy.
In winter its wide network of slopes is ideal for those who love skiing and sports activities on the snow, while its silent woods and its extensive beech woods are ideal for those who love walking with snowshoes in the silence of nature.
In summer Campitello is an excellent starting point for naturalistic excursions in the Matese area.
A chairlift leaves from the village and climbs up to "Monte Miletto" (2050 m), from which you can enjoy a splendid view of the entire surrounding area.
